Memorial Day Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful, long weekend!!  We definitely enjoyed getting to have daddy home an extra day! Our memorial day was pretty laid back this year.  We were a little sad that we didn't get to spend it on the lake at my dads this year, but we still had a great time just the three of us.  We woke up Saturday and did our usual, Farmers Market downtown for a cinnamon roll bigger than my head, some coffee and THREE big ole glasses of vanilla bean lemonade.  That stuff is AMAZING!! Then we headed to Target and old Navy for some shopping! Sunday we went to church then stopped by the new house!  They had some of the siding on and the insulation finished inside, ready to start dry wall!!!  Woo hoo..

I can't believe how quickly they are getting this done.

Then we all came home and took our usual Sunday afternoon naps.  Well, Ryan and I did....  Addie watched a movie..  Then we got up and headed to some friends house for a cookout.  We had a great time and so did Addie...  She and her little friend Ainsley played so hard until 10 o'clock.  When we finally decided we better get home and in the bed.  Monday morning we woke up and took maggie to the river to play in the water, and watch the planes take off and land at the little airport on the river..

Then we headed back downtown to market square to let Addie play in the water fountains..
Then if that wasn't enough water time we came home to play on the slip n slide...  I even played on it with her!!!  And boy do I feel it today!  I don't think I'm old enough to hurt this much after a slip n slide. lol..

We sort of decided to skip dinner and go straight for dessert after all of our playing yesterday...  We decided S'mores sounded pretty good, so Ryan fired up the grill and we went to town on roasting some marshmallows..  :-)

Then bath time quickly followed that mess.  Daddy decided Addie needed a REALLY bubbly bath so he poured in dish soap and turned on the jets..  Addie loved it..  the bubbles covered her up completely we had to make a hole to keep her head out!!

I think its safe to say we had a pretty fun day, and we were all pretty wiped out and ready to hit the sack last night.  I love my little family and cherish all of these fun moments we get share together!  I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend...  Thank you to all who have and do serve our country!  This family prays for you and Thanks you!!

Playing a little catch up

So, I guess I'm going to jump into the blogging world...  Since we have no family close this(hopefully) will be a great way to keep up with the crazy life of the Frosts!!!

As most of you know, we started our little family almost 5 years ago...  Crazy to think that we have been married  that long!  Time flies when you're having fun, right?  Other than my decision to follow Christ, marrying Ryan was the BEST thing I have ever done!! He is truly the love of my life!   We are so perfect for each other.
Look how young we looked back then!!  I guess getting married at 19 we were young!!!  :)

Next came our beautiful little girl, Addison.  She was born March 17, 2008, (St. Addie's Day as we call it) after a few weeks of scares. She's our little leprechaun.  I'll never forget them bringing her to me(after I called the nursery probably 3 times asking where our baby was) she had a huge knitted green hat on and two precious green bows in her head full of black hair underneath..

See, I told you she was precious!  ;-)  She was born on a Monday, and we got to go home on Wednesday with slightly elevated bilirubin levels( jaundice).  On Friday we went to the pediatrician just to check and make sure those levels went down...  well....  They didn't they had actually sky rocketed UP!!  we were sent straight to the hospital and I was a wreck..  They started talking blood transfusions and all kinds of crazy things.  Luckily, after a week of the NICU, lots of fluids, and poop(who woulda ever thought you could get so excited over poop??) she got to come home without needing any blood transfusions or anything!!!  Praise God!!
I could seriously go on an on and on because a lot of things have happened in the last years of being a mommy to this beautiful girl, and wife to this amazing man.  But I won't... I'll just try to do better from here on out..

We lived in Murfreesboro, TN for really all of our lives until Ryan graduated college and drug me to Knoxville for his job.  When I say he drug me here I am SERIOUS!!!  I cried, complained, and pouted for a long time(like almost a year)... You would have thought he was moving me across the country or something, not just 2 1/2 hours from home.  It took almost a full year before I became content with our life here.
The beginning of December we decided to go to the Christmas parade downtown, saw a float for a church that we hadn't heard of and decided that maybe we should check it out..  This was after almost a year of being here and trying what felt like EVERY church in Knoxville.  So, that next Sunday we got up and went and I don't know if we have missed a Sunday since...  As a matter of fact, I volunteer in the toddler class and Ryan runs sound(or whatever they need him to do).  We have made so many wonderful friends, and so has Addie...  We are SO thankful for our church friends who have become like  family here.. Check out the church here  www.onelifeknox.com ..  So a year and a half later, if you asked me now, I'd tell you even if FedEx offered us a  job back home, I don't think I'd leave Knoxville yet.  I have really grown to love it here..  I love the fact that this is OUR town..
As a matter of fact.....
This is in the works right now....  Yep, we are building our first home as a family..  We have rented apartments and houses for the last years and we are SO excited about this..  I really feel blessed that we are getting to not only buy a home, but build it as well..  Don't worry I'll keep you posted on the progress..  Our projected close date is July 20th.  Looks like they are right on schedule!!  Better get to packing.

One last big thing has happened in the last few weeks...  I took a job(yeah I know crazy, right) so Addie could start pre-k.  I love it because it still allows me to be a stay at home mommy, which is what we have decided for our family.  And it allows Addison to learn and make friends at pre-k.  She is absolutely loving it!!  We only go 2 days a week, Monday and Friday,  and I can't believe how much she is already learning..   We taught her things at home but she loves the classroom setting..  and the BEST thing about it....  I get to spend two hours a day with her (and her class) on the play ground!!  This has truly been a blessing for us, we really wanted her in pre-k we just didn't want to shell out TONS of money each week. So I called Ridgedale Baptist Church, they had a spot open in pre-k AND they needed a 3 yr old teacher.. So not only does Addie get to go to pre-k FREE I get to make a little extra money for our family.  Now thats a deal :-)  Here is Addie on her first day of school:  Look at that big smile!!!!!

Okay, now that you are all caught up on our crazy, wonderful life I'll end this post!!!  I definitely should have started this blog a long time ago, when we got married!!!  I hope you have enjoyed catching up on that past years, and I hope you  enjoy getting to have a small peek into what its like living our wonderful life!!! ENJOY!!
