Father's Day Weekend in ATL

Happy Tuesday(night) to you all!!!  I'm so excited that I am finally getting around to posting about our little weekend getaway!!  We took a trip to Atlanta last weekend with my dad, stepmom, sister and brother in law.  Let me just tell you, I was SO stinking excited to see them, and I know they were so stinking excited to see Addie...  I got pushed to the back burner a little over 4 years ago, lol.. Just kidding...
Anyways, we left friday evening around 7:00pm and met my dad right outside of Chattanooga.  We got there about 40 min before them so Ryan and Addie decided to do a little Geocaching..  Addie found 2 all by herself!!  I was so proud of her...  They were very easy, visible ones but still she did awesome!!  Here is a picture of her reaching up to get her first cache!!
Addie wanted to ride in Grandaddy and Granny Annie's car the rest of the way so she and Ryan hopped in their car and my sister rode with me..  It was so nice to have a few hours of ride time alone with my sister!!!  When we finally arrived at the house it was right at midnight.  We actually stayed about an hr past Atlanta at my dad and step moms friends BEAUTIFUL lake home! Once we got there, we put Addie in the bed and of course stayed up way too late drinking wine and catching up. It was kind of funny because all of us "kids" piled up on an air mattress and all the "adults" were over on the couches!  Kind of like when we really were kids.. Then the boys decided they needed to play a late night game of pool so they did that and us girls continued to chat! :-)

When we woke up Saturday morning we went for a nice boat ride down to the marina to have breakfast!!!  It was a great breakfast on the lake..  Two of my favorite things, with some of my favorite people!!  When we got back from breakfast a quick swim in the lake was in order before heading downtown!  Addie is such a little lake girl.  She fits right in with this family!!  I love that she gets to grow up going to the lake all of the time...  I know I loved it growing up!

Love this picture, she is such a pretty little girl!

This girl LOVES her daddy!!!

Its not a trip to Richard And Barbra's lake house without a jump off the top of the dock!

We finally decided it was time to dry off and start getting ready for the Braves game.  We left the house and met up with my step brother so he could ride with us to Marta.
Addie on her first MARTA trip!
Addie definitely thought the "train ride" was super fun! I, on the other hand, thought it was long, smelly, hot, and everything else that goes along with MARTA! LOL... But it finally got us to Turner Field.  Addie and Ryan got to experience their first Braves game together!!

Our whole gang!

"Mom, it's SO hot out here"

Walking thru the misters to cool off

I love my little family!

My beautiful sister and brother-in-law

The Braves of course lost, but we all still had a great time!!  Although, I am convinced that every team I like sucks!!!  oh well. Im gonna keep rooting for them anyways!  I think Addie and Ryan really enjoyed their first Major League game!!

Sunday, we got up and did Fathers Day gifts and had breakfast, then it was time to pack up and head towards home.. BUT its not a trip to the A-T-L without a stop at Trader Joes for some Two Buck Chuck, and a trip to IKEA!!!!!!!!  After what seemed like a super long car ride, we finally made it home!!  Always nice to be home!!!

And last but not least............  An update on the house!!!  Its really coming along great!!  We had a little mix up with the trim color on the outside but it should be getting fixed ASAP!!  They poured the concrete for the driveway, back patio, and front porch today, I can't wait to go see it again!!

Just imagine it with white trim where trim should be ;-) and the door will be stained a dark brown!

I am SO in love with the stone that we chose!!

Doors should be installed soon, and painting has started..  That paint color isn't really orange-ish pinkish lol..

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday tomorrow, and Ill see you soon:-)
P.S.  I was watching the NBA finals and The Thunder just lost, I told you every team I like does no good!!!

nuttin' much honey

I don't think I have much to report this week.. Obviously, since I haven't blogged since last week.  The house seems to be at a standstill right now.  I guess they are doing things I just can't see them...  We took Ryan's mom out there last night and I think she really liked it.  We didn't look long because Addie was chomping at the bit to get back and go swimming.
I am sad that it's Sunday, back to the grind tomorrow:-(  I hate when Ryan has to go to work...
I don't guess we have any plans for the week, just the same ole same..  We are taking a trip to Atlanta this coming weekend to go to a Braves game, and of course.... IKEA!!!!! So I guess I'll be getting ready for that..
I guess that's enough blabbing for now..  Hopefully I will write again this week!!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and have a great week!!!!

What a weekend

This weekend we headed to Murfreesboro for Ryan's brothers wedding. Ryan's mom and I made the cakes and Addie and Ryan were in the wedding.
All the stress started Wednesday night at 11:30.  Ryan and I were laying in the bed watching a show before he left for work when we heard Addie getting sick upstairs.  We run up there and get her and her room all cleaned up and put her on the couch for the night..  She got sick all through the night and finally got to sleep about 3:30 and slept the rest of the night.  She woke up as happy and as well as could be Thursday.  We aren't sure if she had a little stomach bug or if she ate something bad.  Either way she felt all better and we decided to head out on our drive.  We made it to Murfreesboro and I immediately got started baking and decorating cakes with my MIL..  We had a fun time, and we had times where we wanted to scream, cry, and pull our hair out..  I think we are all done with cakes for a while.. LOL...

My sister came over Friday to hang out for a little while.. I am so glad I got to see her...  Wasn't enough time but Ill take what I can get :-)  That evening Ryan took Addie to the square to see her Uncle Josh(or so Ryan could see Josh is probably more like it).  Then he went out to visit with a friend he hadn't seen in a while...  I know he really enjoyed that!!
Saturday was the wedding...  Look how beautiful my sweet girl was. Okay so not such a great pic but you get the point she was precious!!
And Ryan looked very handsome too....  I love those two!!!
I can NOT believe this is the only picture I got with Addie..  I am so awful, and I didn't even get ONE with Ryan....  I have got to do better with that!!
Anyways, we left the wedding early to head back home to Knoxville.  We drove back to Ryans parents house to get our dog and all of our stuff..  Finally got back on the road, we didn't even make it half way and Addie decided she'd get car sick for the first time ever... Really, if I haven't already been stressed enough. lol...  So we pulled over got her and the car cleaned(oh and me too).  Ryan got in the backseat to help Addie(and give me a break) if she needed it and I drove the rest of the way home..  She fell asleep and made it the rest of the way just fine..
We decided last night that Addie and I were going to stay home and watch church online since it was my weekend off from Volunteering, but poor Ryan had to be there at 6:30.  Good thing he loves being at the church and doing what he does because I know he has got to be exhausted.  We are hoping to head out to the house sometime today...  We haven't seen it in a week so I'm hoping there is lots of progress.. They were supposed to be getting the stone done and the dry wall this week!!  Ill post pictures later.

I hope you all had a wonderful(not as stressful as mine) weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful, long weekend!!  We definitely enjoyed getting to have daddy home an extra day! Our memorial day was pretty laid back this year.  We were a little sad that we didn't get to spend it on the lake at my dads this year, but we still had a great time just the three of us.  We woke up Saturday and did our usual, Farmers Market downtown for a cinnamon roll bigger than my head, some coffee and THREE big ole glasses of vanilla bean lemonade.  That stuff is AMAZING!! Then we headed to Target and old Navy for some shopping! Sunday we went to church then stopped by the new house!  They had some of the siding on and the insulation finished inside, ready to start dry wall!!!  Woo hoo..

View of the front left side of the house

View from the back

I can't believe how quickly they are getting this done.

Then we all came home and took our usual Sunday afternoon naps.  Well, Ryan and I did....  Addie watched a movie..  Then we got up and headed to some friends house for a cookout.  We had a great time and so did Addie...  She and her little friend Ainsley played so hard until 10 o'clock.  When we finally decided we better get home and in the bed.  Monday morning we woke up and took maggie to the river to play in the water, and watch the planes take off and land at the little airport on the river..

Then we headed back downtown to market square to let Addie play in the water fountains..
Then if that wasn't enough water time we came home to play on the slip n slide...  I even played on it with her!!!  And boy do I feel it today!  I don't think I'm old enough to hurt this much after a slip n slide. lol..

We sort of decided to skip dinner and go straight for dessert after all of our playing yesterday...  We decided S'mores sounded pretty good, so Ryan fired up the grill and we went to town on roasting some marshmallows..  :-)

Then bath time quickly followed that mess.  Daddy decided Addie needed a REALLY bubbly bath so he poured in dish soap and turned on the jets..  Addie loved it..  the bubbles covered her up completely we had to make a hole to keep her head out!!

I think its safe to say we had a pretty fun day, and we were all pretty wiped out and ready to hit the sack last night.  I love my little family and cherish all of these fun moments we get share together!  I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend...  Thank you to all who have and do serve our country!  This family prays for you and Thanks you!!

Playing a little catch up

So, I guess I'm going to jump into the blogging world...  Since we have no family close this(hopefully) will be a great way to keep up with the crazy life of the Frosts!!!

As most of you know, we started our little family almost 5 years ago...  Crazy to think that we have been married  that long!  Time flies when you're having fun, right?  Other than my decision to follow Christ, marrying Ryan was the BEST thing I have ever done!! He is truly the love of my life!   We are so perfect for each other.
Look how young we looked back then!!  I guess getting married at 19 we were young!!!  :)

Next came our beautiful little girl, Addison.  She was born March 17, 2008, (St. Addie's Day as we call it) after a few weeks of scares. She's our little leprechaun.  I'll never forget them bringing her to me(after I called the nursery probably 3 times asking where our baby was) she had a huge knitted green hat on and two precious green bows in her head full of black hair underneath..

See, I told you she was precious!  ;-)  She was born on a Monday, and we got to go home on Wednesday with slightly elevated bilirubin levels( jaundice).  On Friday we went to the pediatrician just to check and make sure those levels went down...  well....  They didn't they had actually sky rocketed UP!!  we were sent straight to the hospital and I was a wreck..  They started talking blood transfusions and all kinds of crazy things.  Luckily, after a week of the NICU, lots of fluids, and poop(who woulda ever thought you could get so excited over poop??) she got to come home without needing any blood transfusions or anything!!!  Praise God!!
I could seriously go on an on and on because a lot of things have happened in the last years of being a mommy to this beautiful girl, and wife to this amazing man.  But I won't... I'll just try to do better from here on out..

We lived in Murfreesboro, TN for really all of our lives until Ryan graduated college and drug me to Knoxville for his job.  When I say he drug me here I am SERIOUS!!!  I cried, complained, and pouted for a long time(like almost a year)... You would have thought he was moving me across the country or something, not just 2 1/2 hours from home.  It took almost a full year before I became content with our life here.
The beginning of December we decided to go to the Christmas parade downtown, saw a float for a church that we hadn't heard of and decided that maybe we should check it out..  This was after almost a year of being here and trying what felt like EVERY church in Knoxville.  So, that next Sunday we got up and went and I don't know if we have missed a Sunday since...  As a matter of fact, I volunteer in the toddler class and Ryan runs sound(or whatever they need him to do).  We have made so many wonderful friends, and so has Addie...  We are SO thankful for our church friends who have become like  family here.. Check out the church here  www.onelifeknox.com ..  So a year and a half later, if you asked me now, I'd tell you even if FedEx offered us a  job back home, I don't think I'd leave Knoxville yet.  I have really grown to love it here..  I love the fact that this is OUR town..
As a matter of fact.....
This is in the works right now....  Yep, we are building our first home as a family..  We have rented apartments and houses for the last years and we are SO excited about this..  I really feel blessed that we are getting to not only buy a home, but build it as well..  Don't worry I'll keep you posted on the progress..  Our projected close date is July 20th.  Looks like they are right on schedule!!  Better get to packing.

One last big thing has happened in the last few weeks...  I took a job(yeah I know crazy, right) so Addie could start pre-k.  I love it because it still allows me to be a stay at home mommy, which is what we have decided for our family.  And it allows Addison to learn and make friends at pre-k.  She is absolutely loving it!!  We only go 2 days a week, Monday and Friday,  and I can't believe how much she is already learning..   We taught her things at home but she loves the classroom setting..  and the BEST thing about it....  I get to spend two hours a day with her (and her class) on the play ground!!  This has truly been a blessing for us, we really wanted her in pre-k we just didn't want to shell out TONS of money each week. So I called Ridgedale Baptist Church, they had a spot open in pre-k AND they needed a 3 yr old teacher.. So not only does Addie get to go to pre-k FREE I get to make a little extra money for our family.  Now thats a deal :-)  Here is Addie on her first day of school:  Look at that big smile!!!!!

Okay, now that you are all caught up on our crazy, wonderful life I'll end this post!!!  I definitely should have started this blog a long time ago, when we got married!!!  I hope you have enjoyed catching up on that past years, and I hope you  enjoy getting to have a small peek into what its like living our wonderful life!!! ENJOY!!
